Pete Barrett
My Art Collection
Eastern Edge Gallery’s interview with Pete
“We had the privilege of connecting with Pete Barett in Happy Valley-Goose Bay as part of our Arts for Equity project. This visit to Labrador was an opportunity to spend time with artists in their own communities, to listen, learn, and better understand their journeys.
Pete’s story reflects both resilience and creativity. As a BIPOC artist, she shares her experiences, the barriers she has faced, and the ways her practice continues to grow and evolve. These conversations remind us why creating space for artists to be heard is so important.

Workshops
Is there anything that gives more pleasure than exploring the world around us, our heritage and culture and from there creating and sharing?
A successful “Breakfast with Pete “ workshop.
Each person made a bowl for their cereal, a plate for their toast and a mug for their coffee.
